Not For Your Approval

A project inspired by a personal, and yet universally familiar experience. One of my incredible clients received negative comments on the breathtaking photos captured in her first session with me at Velvet Sugar Studios.

 

Determined not to shrink to fit other peoples expectations, these are the images we curated in response to these unwanted comments and opinions. The images are created to highlight the internal struggle with mental health that unwanted comments have on us all, and the strength we need to fight to believe and love ourselves.

Creating these creative empowerment photoshoots enables clients to build something that is bespoke and powerful. They are about a journey, a milestone, defiance and self-love, and each one is extraordinary beautiful.
